SUPER CHOICE: Super Bowl ad to Celebrate Pam Tebow's Decision to give Birth to Heisman Trophy Winner
In a 30 second ad that will be featured during the Super Bowl, 'Focus on the Family' will be featuring Pam Tebow's decision not to abort Tim despite being told that doing so would be the only way to save her life.
CBS is not releasing any of the details of the ad, not even a transcript which has spawned much speculation but groups like NOW and NARAL are not at all happy with the decision, calling it an “advocacy ad”, which should be forbidden.
Available for interviews to discuss the controversy surrounding this upcoming ad is Chris Slattery, the founder of EMC Front Line Pregnancy Centers, who has a few ideas about why pro-abortion groups aren't happy.
Not unlike doctors and nurses who have life-changing experiences after taking part in an abortion, suddenly becoming pro-life, does an ad have the potential of achieving the same outcome by focusing on the exact opposite of that scenario? Is that what the pro-abortion advocates are truly afraid of?
The ad, which is likely to show people, in no uncertain terms, the consequences of an alternate course of history involving someone they've come to know, albeit in a one-way fashion, may indeed influence people. Nearly one third of the nation's population tunes in to the Super Bowl each year. Emotions run high and uplifting messages can carry lasting impressions.
