PORNOGRAPHIC READING LIST FOR STUDENTS Shocking Books Recommended by Safe School Czar’s Group (Candi Cushman is in Mountain Time)
Somewhere under the nose of the mainstream media, the questionable mission of President Obama’s Safe Schools Czar, Kevin Jennings, continues.
Already a controversial figure for his background as the founder and long-time executive director of the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN, pronounced “glisten” when spoken), Jennings remains under the microscope of many parents and pro-family advocates dedicated to protecting America’s children.
Candi Cushman, education analyst for the Public Policy and Government Division of Focus on the Family, is one of them. And, while leftist groups would argue that her critique of Jennings’ policies is unfair, she can point to her organization’s investigative research into GLSEN’s current recommended reading list for schools as just one example to make her case (visit citizenlink.org/jennings).
GLSEN’s recommended reading list for schools includes extreme, erotic and graphic depictions of homosexual activity that would be considered risky by the medical community—including interactions in public restrooms, rape scenes, etc. There are also graphic descriptions of sexual activity among children, even elementary-age kids, as well as erotic depictions of sexual activity between adults and teens.
Most surprising, however, could be how Jennings and GLSEN seek to introduce these dangerous activities to schoolchildren under the guise of protecting them.
“Jennings uses the word ‘safety’ as a smokescreen to . . . enact one-sided policies that threaten religious liberties, use students as lobbyists to promote an adult, pro-gay agenda, and uses bullying policies as leverage to mandate pro-gay curriculum,” Focus on the Family states.
As a guest on your show, Cushman can go on to site specific examples, and expand on why parents should pay very close attention to how government and school district policies in their own states might be impacting their children’s education.
Further, she can even provide an insight into how parents can be proactive in shaping bullying-prevention policies that are effective, without sexualizing or politicizing the problem. Call Special Guests today to book an interview with Candi Cushman.
