CHINA’S NEXT BIG MOVE Storming the Auto Industry With Purchase of Volvo (Robby Dilmore is in EST)
While the United States is still reeling from a recession that saw the demise of General Motors and Chrysler averted only by massive taxpayer-funded government bailouts, the Chinese continue to breathe down our economic superpower necks with their own foray into the global auto industry.
Leading the way is Shanghai-based Geely Automobile Holdings Ltd., which was the first Chinese automaker to exhibit at the Detroit Auto Show and is now closing in on the purchase of Volvo Car Corp. from Detroit-based Ford Motor Company.
At the same time, across the big pond, here in America, some 2,000 GM and Chrysler dealers are still waiting to hear why the Obama administration’s Car Czar and a bankruptcy court arbitrarily phased them out of business last spring.
Available for interviews to provide a big-picture analysis of the balance of automotive power in the world going forward is Robby Dilmore, a 35-year veteran of the automobile industry and host of The Christian Car Guy radio program, heard nationally on Sirius channel 161.
How many U.S. dealers can expect to win arbitration to restore their businesses in 2010? What do the contraction and restructuring of GM and Chrysler, and the new streamlined focus of Ford mean to those companies and their collective title as The Big Three? How long before China’s product quality-and-safety image catch up with investment growth to make it a real automotive contender? . . . How might all these factors impact our economic recovery?
Call Special Guests today to schedule an interview with Robby Dilmore, The Christian Car Guy for a no-nonsense view of all things automotive that impact your audience—including tips on how consumers can protect themselves during the sale, purchase and maintenance of their own vehicles.
