ABORTION DEBATE GETTING ‘BIGGER’ THAN EVER Pro-Life Rally Set to Protest New Super-Sized Clinic (Chris Slattery is in EST)
As Planned Parenthood prepares to open a new 78,000 square-foot abortion clinic in Houston, Texas—the largest ever in the United States—pro-life advocates and religious leaders from across the country will convene on the facility’s doorstep to conduct a staunch opposition rally.
And it’s no accident that the protest is scheduled for this Monday, January 18 . . . this year’s Martin Luther King holiday.
In an article covering the clinic (see link below), one of the rally’s leaders and founder of pro-life group The Call to Conscience, Lou Engle, quoted the great civil rights leader, “As Martin Luther King, Jr., said, ‘It is time to subpoena the conscience of America’.”
Watching from afar is Chris Slattery, the founder of EMC Front Line Pregnancy Centers, a pro-life group in the trenches of New York City, counseling young women every day. And, like Engle, he takes particular issue with the way Planned Parenthood markets itself to low income neighborhoods and minorities—as is the case with the location of this new Houston super clinic.
“You can’t argue with the statistics,” says Slattery. “For every five African-American women who get pregnant, three have an abortion. African Americans make up about 12 percent of the population in the United States, but account for about 32 percent of the abortions. And the numbers go on.”
Call Special Guests today to schedule an interview with Chris Slattery, and find out precisely why this new super-sized abortion clinic—complete with an entire wing that will be dedicated to performing late-term abortions—is such a troubling indicator of the Planned Parenthood agenda. And find out where it looks like the debate may go next.
