SMOKE CLEARING ON TERRORIST PLOT? Authorities Fear Christmas Day Attack Is First of Many

Image

As the investigation into Nigerian Abdul Farouk Umar Abdulmutallab’s failed attempt to blow up an Amsterdam-to-Detroit flight continues, the latest epicenter of terrorism appears to be Yemen. But what is to be gleaned from reports so far of al Qaeda and more planned attacks?

Perhaps there is no better an authority to decipher the mixed signals than former Palestinian terrorist turned Christian U.S. citizen, Walid Shoebat. As a guest on your show, he can comment on the inner workings of terrorism, how extremist cells communicate with one another, and the likelihood that Abdulmutallab was not acting alone.

Here’s the status to this point . . .

Within days of each other, reports coming from U.S. federal and British authorities and the White House are not exactly jiving.

Federal investigators in the failed Christmas Day “pants bomb” say it was a plot “organized and launched by al Qaeda leaders in Yemen,” according ABC News (link below).

Meanwhile, British authorities report that Abdulmutallab is one of 25 British-born Muslim extremists in Yemen that, together, have been awaiting al-Qaeda instructions to board and blow up multiple Western airliners planned to kill thousands (link below).

And yet, Sunday, on CNN’s State of the Union, the Obama administration’s Homeland Security Secretary, Janet Napolitano, said there was no evidence that Abdulmutallab’s Christmas Day debacle was part of a bigger terrorist plot. Further, she refused to confirm that he was connected to al Qaeda (link below).

So, what’s the real story? And is the chatter about a rise in al Qaeda attacks valid? And, if so, why might the White House be playing it down? Call Special Guests to schedule an interview with Walid Shoebat.

ABOUT WALID SHOEBAT…

Born in Bethlehem, Walid's grandfather was the Muslim Mukhtar (chieftain) of Beit Sahour-Bethlehem (The Shepherd's Fields) and a friend of Haj-Ameen Al-Husseni, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and notorious friend of Adolf Hitler.

As a young man, he became a member of the Palestinian Liberation Organization, and participated in acts of terror and violence against Israel, and was later imprisoned in the Russian Compound, Jerusalem's central prison for incitement and violence against Israel.

After his release, he continued his life of violence and rioting in Bethlehem and the Temple Mount. After entering the U.S, he worked as a counselor for the Arab Student Organization at Loop College in Chicago and continued his anti-Israel activities.

In 1993, Walid studied the Bible in a challenge to convert his wife to Islam. Six months later, after intense study, Walid realized that everything he had been taught about Jews was a lie. Convinced he was on the side of evil, he became an advocate for his former enemy.

Driven by a deep passion to heal his own soul, and to bring the truth about the Jews, Israel and the threat of fundamentalist Islam to the world, Walid shed his former life and his work as a software engineer and set out to tirelessly bring the cause against the evil of Islamic Fundamentalist to tens of millions of people throughout the world: churches, synagogues, civic groups, government leaders and media.

Walid is the author of several bestselling books including “Why I Left Jihad,” “Why We Want To Kill You” and “God’s War on Terror.”

Walid is an American citizen and lives in the USA with his wife and children, under this assumed name. Walid has spoken all over America and the world including Chile, Mexico, Canada, UK, and South Africa. He has also been featured on BBC radio 4, 5 and the largest radio audience on the BBC World Service reaching 180 million people.

Walid has the unique insight so as people can now fully understand the issue of terrorism from the perspective of someone who was once a terrorist.

Walid Shoebat has given lectures at Harvard Law School and Columbia University, and has also spoken at Oxford University UK, National Constitution Center, Capitol Hill, UCLA, USC, University of Georgia, Washington University, Penn State, and San Diego State University.
