NGOs BEAT BACK U.N. SMALL ARMS TREATY: But Warn That ‘Global Socialists’ Are Not Done (Guest in PDT)

For the past several weeks, gun-rights blogs and editorials have been ablaze with debate about the Obama administration’s intent to adopt a global gun-control measure tagged the U.N. Small Arms and Light Weapons Program of Action.

Well, just in time for Independence Day, several gun rights proponents, participating as Non Government Organization (NGO) delegates in a U.N. committee to discuss the program, have managed to put the skids on the whole idea—or, at least, America’s acceptance of it.

One of those proponents was Alan Gottlieb, Chairman of the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms, and he is available for interviews to provide details on the international legislation, the play-by-play on the committee meeting that killed it, and the reasons why our 2nd Amendment is not out of the woods yet.

Supporters of the program, including Obama’s frontline representative, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, have tried to sell the legislation as nothing more than a means to standardize international arms trade to impede the flow of weapons into organized crime or terrorist organizations around the world.

But Gottlieb and other critics say it’s a thinly veiled attempt by U.N. socialist-ideal world leaders to subvert Americans’ pesky 2nd Amendment rights and force them to answer to government like never before.

“(The likes of Obama and Clinton are) saying that ‘armed populations are more violent than unarmed ones’,” writes Gottlieb in an email alert to his organization’s members. “(But the truth is) armed populations defend themselves against violence and tyranny. If (this action) were passed in 1776, we’d still be under the tyrannical rule of Britain, taxed to death and unable to defend ourselves. But that is precisely what Hillary and Obama want.”

And, according to Gottlieb, “Hillary and Obama” are not done fighting for it. He points out in his alert that the success he and other NGOs experienced at the committee meeting was critical, but temporary, as Clinton and others look to go back to the drawing board.

Call Special Guests today to arrange an interview with Alan Gottlieb, and find out more about the recent victory, but also the real threat and determination of the anti-gun leaders in our executive branch.
