SWISS SEND A MESSAGE TO ISLAM: Citizens Vote ‘Yes’ on Referendum to Ban Muslim Minarets
Sometimes the most powerful and telling statements come from the most unlikely sources. In a day when the common man feels his will is not being exacted by the representatives he elects to govern him, the common man finally had a chance to speak for himself through the course of a public referendum.
Unexpectedly, this didn’t happen inside the historic maverick of the free world—the United States. Instead, it happened in the perceived more tolerant and worldly European Union, inside the historic representative of neutrality of all places—Switzerland.
There, even against the urgencies of its own government, the Swiss people voted this past Sunday to ban from their nation the construction of Muslim minarets, the tall spires built alongside mosques from which Muslim muezzin call the people to prayer.
Needless to say, political and diplomatic critics across the globe—from the Muslim community to the progressive New-World-Order mindset—say the vote is a violation of religious freedom and an outward exercise of racism, disrespect, xenophobia and all kinds of other dishonorable terms.
Now, get ready for a point of view that will throw you and your audience for a loop. Walid Shoebat is a former Palestinian jihadist who has since converted to Christianity and become both a citizen of the U.S. and a crusader against Islamic extremism.
As a guest on your show, he’ll not only explain his support for the Swiss people in their vote. He’s prepared to proclaim why the United States should follow in Switzerland’s footsteps, adding that mosques are in actuality Islamic embassies!
The Swiss People’s Party, which sponsored the referendum, said it wasn’t about religious discrimination. It was about stopping the spread of political Islam, calling out the minaret as an Islamic power play under the guise of a religious symbol . . . and, after Sunday’s vote, it was apparent that nearly 6 out of 10 Swiss citizens agreed.
Is that perception by the Swiss accurate? What does the construction of minarets really mean? And would a free pass to continue building more of them in countries outside the Middle East set an inviting precedent to hard-line Muslim leaders looking to spread Sharia law throughout the world?
Find out from someone with a depth of experience that includes life as a Muslim extremist himself. Schedule an interview with Walid Shoebat by calling Special Guests today.
