When thousands of electronic files and emails were released to the internet on November 19th from the epicenter of climate change research in Great Britain, a firestorm ensued. Since then, it has been learned that climate scientists at East Anglia University’s Climate Research Unit (CRU) have been manipulating data in an apparent attempt to push a political agenda.
As the climate change summit in Copenhagen is about to commence, more people are asking hard questions and Al Gore cancelled his speech there.
Among those implicated in the scandal are Phil Jones, head of the CRU in Great Britain and Michael Mann, professor at Penn State University. Jones has stepped down from his post – at least temporarily – and Mann’s universtiy has announced an investigation. There are others, including Al Gore and Barack Obama’s Science czar John Holdren! But if this is as it seems, it could be proof of an international conspiracy by any definition. The question is what are these individuals conspiring to do?
