THE LEFT’S LYNCHING OF ALBERTO GONZALES

Image Statement by Expert Guest, Craig R. Smtih, CEO of Swiss America Corp., available to interview:

"The recent resignation of Attorney General Alberto Gonzales has caused me for the first time in my life to agree with Senator Chuck Schumer. Schumer believes Gonzales was in over his head and did the right thing by resigning. Even though Schumer says he was probably fired. He was in over his head but it had nothing to do with his qualifications or education."

Smith continued, "I did a bit of homework on Mr. Gonzales. He attended Texas public schools and then proceeded to Rice University and Harvard law. He served his country proudly in the United States Air Force from 1973 to 1975 and attended the Air Force academy from 1975 to 1977. Suffice to say Alberto Gonzales is the American Dream come true. Make no mistake. Mr. Gonzales is brilliant to say the least. Even a short review of his accomplishments prove if anything he was over qualified to serve as the nation’s top lawyer. So where was he in over his head?"

Answering this question during your Talk Show interview is Swiss America CEO Craig R. Smith who contends that Alberto Gonzales is a man of integrity and character who was not willing to roll in the mud and play the politic game that the bureaucratic animals like Charles Schumer seem to be born for to play.

Said Smith, “Alberto Gonzales was not willing to kiss the back sides of the Senate Judiciary members who liken themselves to gods. When Chuck Schumer would ask politically-motivated questions of Gonzales regarding sensitive, and in many cases, classified information regarding the NSA wiretap program, Mr. Gonzales would artfully dodge the question. While Mr. Schumer may not have a problem with the nation’s secrets being revealed and put on public display for the likes of Iranian President Ahmadinejad to have a field day with, a true loyal, patriotic American named Alberto Gonzales chose to fall on a sword rather than risk a sword being used against this nation he so dearly loves.”

Smith continued, “It was wonderful to watch a brilliant, articulate, well polished, Harvard educated lawyer go head to head with ‘his holiness’ Chuck Schumer. He ate Schumer for lunch and Chucky couldn't stand it. But Gonzales, equipped with the truth, was no match for a charlatan like Chucky and the political Left broad brushing Gonzales as a “dodger” or being “not forthright,” which was disingenuous to say the least. Even Arlen Specter who accused Gonzales of not being candid reversed his opinion after receiving a private memorandum explaining Gonzales’ positions regarding specific sensitive national security issues.”

Your audience will be enthralled as Craig Smith paints a refreshingly patriotic portrayal of an American hero, Alberto Gonzales.

Statement by Craig R. Smith:

“If the Judiciary was honestly seeking the truth and wished to protect American, they could have met with Mr. Gonzales privately off the record where Mr. Gonzales could offer answers without giving away secrets about the NSA program-- a program that has kept America safe for the last six years. But doing so would not have allowed the political animals on the Left to publicly embarrass the Bush Administration—at the cost of the lost of sensitive information to our enemies.

If Alberto Gonzales was light on any area of his resume it was his ability to play politics--the type of blood sport politics that the Left demands. They hate Bush and have been trying to destroy any member of his administration loyal to the President and our nation. It started with John Ashcroft. At the time of his confirmation the Democrats ranted he would shred the constitution. Then it was Donald Rumsfeld for supporting “Bush's war”. Then the snipers on the Left took aim at Karl Rove, Bush’s “architect”. Now is it Alberto Gonzales. Once they shoot all Republicans and the problem still exists and the Democrats do nothing to fix them other than spend money, who will they have left blame? Themselves? I doubt it, in spite of Harry Truman (D) living by the axiom that “the buck stops here.”

I guess in the eyes of the left there has never been a decent American who has ever served at the pleasure of George Bush. “Oops, I stubbed my toe. That darned Bush…” seems to be the general prevailing attitude in political blame shifting that attributes everything good to the Left and all evil emanating from George W. Bush. I imagine soon it will be Condoleeza Rice or perhaps Hank Paulson. How about Josh Bolton or Ed Gillespie.? Surely Michael Chertoff has to be in their sights. In the Left's warped sense of reality, all the evil on the earth seems to have converged in the White House to serve at the bequest of George Bush.

It made me sick to watch Senator Hillary Clinton actually clap when she heard about the resignation of Alberto Gonzales. She claims she wants Bush to appoint a new Attorney General who will represent the rule of law. Of course Hillary and Bill did a fine job with having “Raggedy Ann” Janet Reno as their Attorney General. Could you imagine what would have happened if Alberto Gonzales were to have annihilated the Branch Davidians under the guise of ‘rule of law’ during his watch? Does any astute American really think they would allow Mr. Gonzalez to have quietly stepped down after such a debacle? Yet, Ms. Reno continued to serve with impunity.

So, once again, we see another well educated, decent, patriotic American biting the political dust-- a man who defended his country against attacks from terrorist who want each of us dead, a man who fought child predators, a man who exposed corruption but who simply was not politically astute enough to satisfy political animals like Schumer. Maybe that is why the public. Maybe this is why Americans have such a low approval rating of this Congress and the likes of Chuck Schumer.

So in Alberto Gonzales’ departure, I would like to thank the former Attorney General for his service the country. I am grateful he did not allow politics to expose secrets to the enemy. Each one of us should thank him for helping put the tools in place like the Patriot Act to help law enforcement keep Americans safe. Thank you Alberto Gonzales for treating terrorists at Gitmo like terrorists instead of visitors to a La Costa spa! Mr. Gonzales will move on and do great things in his life which will only add to his long lists of accomplishments. One day I hope we will be able to look back and see what a great loss the country suffered when the trained snipers on the Left took out yet another fine servant of our tender nation.

So, Chuck Schumer, you are right. Alberto Gonzales did the right thing by stepping down. He was in over his head—in political mud being thrown incessantly by politicians more interested in crucifying their opponents than in protecting the very nation they have sworn a sacred oath to serve and protect.”
